God typifies the Hebrew people as "the apple of His eye" (Deut. 32:10; Zec. 2:8), because He loves and protects them as one would the pupil of their own eye.    These Hebrew people are the nation of Israel.    They are a microcosm typifying the rest of mankind.    They were chosen of God to be the people through whom He gave both His written Word (Rom. 3:1-2) and His incarnate Word, Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14).

Israel's half brother was Ishmael.    Abraham had only these two sons.    Ishmael was the father of many of the Arabian peoples (Gen. 25:12-16).    Isaac fathered Israel, and God promised the land of Canaan, or Palestine as it is variously called to Israel (Psalm 105:9-12; Gen. 17:19, 26:3, 28:13; Deut. 30:3-5).    This land of Israel is focal point of the final conflict of the ages.    "For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land." (Joel 3:1-2)

Israel is also God's time piece.    These people have been fulfilling prophecy for thousands of years (Deut. 28; Gen. 12:1-3).    We know that we are in "the latter days" from observing the Nation of Israel (Matt 24:32-34; Deut. 4:30, 31:29; Jer. 23:20, 30:24; Ezek. 38:8, 16; Dan. 2:28; Hos. 3:5; Rom. 11:25).    Daniel 9:24-27 is an amazing prophecy of the timing of events of the Hebrew people from the captivity in Babylon (605 B.C.) on to the seven year Tribulation (20?? A.D.).    It tells of the rebuilding of the Temple that had been destroied by the Babalonians; it gives the exact time of the Messiah's first coming; it prophesies of the destruction of the rebuilt Temple a second time.    All these things happened with 100% accuracy.    Only the last verse remains unfulfilled.    Daniel 9:26 predicted that Messiah would be "cut off" or put to death.    Just days prior to fulfilling this prophecy the Lord Jesus prophesied again concerning the destruction of Temple and the desolation of the nation of Israel (Matt. 23:38 - 24:2).    This was fulfilled in 70 A.D. just 40 years after the Lord spoke the words.    However, Jesus also prophesied of the restoration of Israel to the Land just prior to His second coming to judge the world.    Using the "fig tree" (Hos. 9:10) as a symbol for Israel He said:    "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matt. 24:32-34)    That last verse, Daniel 9:27 says, "And he ["the prince that shall come" (v. 26) who is the Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."    This verse is speaking of the soon coming Tribulation when the Antichrist will confirm a 7 year covenant between many nations (i.e Israel and the Arabs), allowing the Jews to return to the Old Testament Temple sacrificial system, but he will break the covenant in the middle of the 7 year Tribulation and sit himself up as God in the new Temple in Jerusalem.    In Matthew 24:8 Jesus says, "All these [antichrists, wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes] are the beginning of sorrows" (cf. vv. 3-8) and again in verse 33 He said, "... when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near ..."    All what things?    Answer:    1) "the beginning of sorrows" (vv. 4-8),    2) persecution (v. 9),    3) doctrines of devils (v. 11),    4) perilous times (vv. 10, 12), and 5) "the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet" which will include the mark of the beast and the New World Order (v. 15).    The Lord Jesus Christ said, "... when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.   Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matt. 24:32-34)     Since the re-establishment of Israel on May 14, 1948 all 5 of theese signs have been increasing, and Israel itself is a sixth sign of the soon coming of Christ (Matt. 24:3).

In the USA many times we take our freedom for granted.    But the blood of true Christians was shed to obtain our freedom.    Today there are over 200 million people in the world who call themselves Christians that are persecuted for their faith.

In the past Catholicism persecuted believers to the death murdering as many as 150 million believers in the Dark Ages when they were in power.    Islam has persecuted believers from it's inception.    Today Islam and Communism are by far the greatest violators of Soul Liberty in the world.    Persecution of religion is almost always the result of state religions. It is for this reason that we oppose State religions.    However, we realize that a short lived world religion will eventually be fully established and that Christian persecution will get much worse before the Lord's return.    In the meanwhile we should still oppose all forms of tyranny and persecution.

"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." (Heb. 13:3)

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." (1 Pet. 5:8-9)

"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." (Matt. 5:10-12)

After the Lord Jesus forewarned of the impending desolation of Israel and of the destruction of the Temple, the disciples came to him again on the Mount of Olives asking Him, "... when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matt. 24:3).    Today many of us have these same three questions.    The Lord Jesus answers:

"... Take heed that on man deceive you. For many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and their shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows ... But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matt. 24:4-8, 36)

A key to the Lord’s answer to question posed in verse 3 is this:    The Lord named 5 common dangers of the ages: 1) antichrists, 2) wars, 3) famines, 4) pestilences, 5) earthquakes.    All these things have been around throughout history.    So why would Jesus give them as sings of His return and "the end of the world?"    The answer is found in verse 8:    "All these are the beginning of sorrows."

The "sorrows" spoken of here by the Lord Jesus are the same as those recorded in Genesis 3:16 concerning a woman's sorrow as she nears child birth.    Because of her sin God told Eve that He would "greatly multiply [her] sorrow and [her] conception; in sorrow [she would] bring forth children" (Genesis 3:16).    Likewise in I Thessalonians 5:3 the same Greek word, which is translated, "sorrows," here in Matthew 24:8, is translated: "travail," and is connected with these words, "upon a woman with child."    Just before time for a woman to deliver her child she begins to have birth pains which become more and more frequent and intense until the time of delivery.

This then is the sign:    Just as the intervals of time between a woman's travail in pain become more frequent and the pain intensifies as the time of birth draws near, so also shall "all" 5 of these things be increasing simultaneously as time for Christ's return nears.    Research clearly shows that all five of the things mentioned in Matthew 24:4-7 (false christs, wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes) and 3 additional things (troubles or commotions, fearful sights and great signs from heaven) that mentioned in parallel passages (Mark 13:8; Luke 21:11) are all in fact simultaneously increasing now in our lifetime.

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron." (1 Tim. 4:1)

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." (2 Pet. 2:1-3)

Today within Christendom "doctrines of devils" and "damnable heresies" abound!

Many churches apostatize early in church history.    Early in the 4th Century the Roman Emperor Constantine married these apostate churches together with the paganism of his Empire forming Roman Catholicism.    Romanism's heresies and atrocities are well known.

In the 1800's several major cults having a form of Christanity emerged which included Mormonism (1830), Seven Day Adventism (1844), the Jehovah's Witnesses (1876), Christian Science (1879), and Unity School of Christianity (1889).

Then the Pentecostal Movement was born on January 1, 1901 at Bethel Bible College in Topeka, Kansas.    Shortly after midnight a young woman, Agnes Ozman, began speaking in "tongues" during a watch-night service on that first day of the Twentieth Century.    The founder of the collage was a former Methodist minister by the name of Charles Parham.    One of his students was an African American man by the name of William Seymour.    When invited to go to Los Angeles to preach on the baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues Seymour went with the financial help and blessing of Parham.    It was here at 312 Azusa Street in Los Angeles that the Pentecostal Movement went world wide.    Seymour remained in in Los Angeles when a "tongues" revival lastings 6 years broke out.    The core membership of the Azusa Street Mission was never much more than 50 or 60 individuals, but hundreds and thousands of people visited or stayed temporarily over the years.    By 1913 the "revival" had lost momentum, and by 1915 it had lost media attention and crowds had left.    Heresies such as adding to God's Word through supposed prophesying (Rev. 22:18-19), and denial of the Holy Trinity (1 John 5:7; Matt. 28:19) when forth out of this so called revival.    Doctrinal differences among the new Pentecostals abounded, and many denominations sprang up, such as the Church of God in Christ (1907), the Assemblies of God (1914), the United Pentecostal Church (1914) and others.    An extremely heretical movement within Pentecostalism is called the Word of Faith movement which teaches among other things Gnosticism and "even denying the Lord that bought them."

The Age of Aquarius began on February 4, 1962 and the New Age Movement dawned.    In the 20th Century over eleven hundred people came proclaiming that they were God or Christ, but more recently with the lie of the New Age Movement, which really isn't new, we are told that we are all gods.    So there are now literally millions of false christs running around.    This is the same old lie that Satan told Eve way back in the Garden of Eden, namely, "... Ye Shall not surely die ..., [but] ye shall be as gods ..." (Genesis 3:4-5).    This is a main teaching of the New Age Movement, namely that we all may access the Christ Spirit that is already within.    The New Age Movement is a hodgepodge of occult and metaphysical cults and religions including Theosophy, Gnosticism, New Thought, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, UFO cults, Unity School of Christianity, Christian Science, etc.

"And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan ..." (2 Thess. 2:6-9)

"And they worshipped the Dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the Beast, saying, Who is like unto the Beast; who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His Name, and his Tabernacle, and them that dwell in Heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongue, and nations. And all that dwell upon the Earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Rev. 13:4-8)

The dream of a unified world government is an ancient one.    Lucifer is the originator of the concept, but he shall utterly fail (Isa. 14:12-22).    It began shortly after creation in the Garden of Eden when Lucifer gained control of the world through lies and deceit (Gen. 3:1-6; cf. Rom. 6:16).    His efforts against God intensified and were successful until God had to destroy the Earth in the World Wide Flood of Noah's day (Gen. 6).    Only 8 people survived to start the human race over again.    After the Flood when people began to multiply again Satan quickly raised up his man, Nimrod, in another attempt to unite mankind in a One World Luciferian Order (Gen. 10:8-10).    "[Nimrod] was a mighty hunter before the LORD" in the sense that he was "against" Jehovah God.    He was striving against God for the souls of men.    Satan through Nimrod, the first antichrist, tried to unite mankind into a world religion and government, but God thwarted the attempt by confounding their language so that they could not understand one another (Gen. 11:1-9).    To slow down Satan's efforts to unite the world, and in order to give men opportunity to be saved, God scattered mankind and predetermined the times and boundaries of their sovereign nations (Acts 17:26-27).    Lucifer and his cohorts, the fallen angels, must manipulate the individual governments of the world making his task much more difficult (Eph. 6:11-13; Dan. 10:12-21).    However, God will soon allow him and his man a brief time of rule upon the earth (Rev. 12:7-9, 13:7-8; Dan. 12:1).    According to Biblical prophecy it appears that the final Luciferian Kingdom is beginning to emerge.

Satan has raised up many "antichrists" in attempts to create a One World Government under his control.    We have many historical records concerning both the ancient and more recent history of Satan’s planned One World Government.    We have already spoken of 1) Nimrod who lived some 4,300 years ago, but there are also,    2) King Nebucadnezar of Babylon (606-561 B.C.),    3) Alexander the Great of Greece (336-323 B.C.),    4) Antiochus Epiphanes of Syria (175-163 B.C.),    5) all caesars of the Roman Empire (27 B.C.-395 A.D.),    6) all Roman Catholic popes of the Dark Ages (426-1530 A.D.),    7) the "prophet" Mohamed of Islam (570-632 A.D.),    8) Napoleon Bonaparte of France (1804-1815),    9) all Communist dictators (1914-now),    10) Adolf Hitler of Nazi Germany (1933-1945),  and many others.    God is allowing Satan to run his wicked course to let him demonstrate his evil character to all so that there can be no question when He judges him.

One of the players in the establishment of the New World Order is Freemasonry.    Most masons are totally unaware of the sinister character of their club.    Only some of the higher ups of the 32 and 33 degrees are initiated into the the Illuminati.    The Order of Illuminati has been traced back to the Knights Templar, to the Greek and Gnostic initiatory cults, and to ancient Egypt.

The Bavarian Illuminati was established by Dr. Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776.    Weishaupt was a former Jesuit Priest.    He formed the Illuminati within the existing Masonic lodges of Germany.    In 1785 the Illuminati were suppressed by the Bavarian government for plotting to overthrow all the kings in Europe.    This much is generally agreed upon by all historians.    Weishaupt's purpose was to establish a New World Order, which meant the abolition of governments, religions, private property and marriage.    The character of the society was modeled after the Jesuits, and was an elaborate network of spies and counter-spies.    Each isolated cell of initiates reported to a superior, whom they did not know, a party structure that was effectively adopted by some later groups, including more recently by the early Ba'ath party in Syria and Iraq.

In 1799, George Washington read "Proofs of a Conspiracy Against All the Religions and Governments of Europe" (by John Robison, a prominent scientist and professor at the University of Edinburgh, published in Dublin, Ireland in 1797).    This book reconfirmed his awareness of the danger to our Republic from Illuminists.    Five years earlier Illuminist agents had used front organizations ("democratic societies") to trigger the so-called "Whiskey Rebellion" in Pennsylvania.    Washington's public exposure and opposition with armed troops stopped this early campaign of sedition without bloodshed.

A century after Weishaupt's death in 1811, occultist interest in the Illuminati picked up, through the writings of Aleister Crowley.    Their practice of mysticism and attempt to reinterpret communication with God through meditation, along with claims of communication with Lucifer, enlightenment, and their sexual practices, all denote a seeming connection with later Illuminati groups.    Weishaupt has been called a Cabalistic magician, a mystic, an anarchist, a fascist; an alchemist, and a totalitarian.    The Illuminati has also been credited with managing the French revolution from behind the scenes, continuing underground up to the 1970s, and secretly worshipping the Devil.

Today the Illuminati seems to manifest itself in ultra secret conspiratorial organizations such as The Builderburgers, Skull and Bones, The Council for Foreign Relations, The Trilateral Commission, The Club of Rome, Lucis (formerly Lucifer) Trust which is the religious branch of the U.N., Central Banks, The Bohemian Grove Club, etc. which are reputed to control world affairs.    These are most likely branches or fronts for the Illuminati.    In a conspiratorial context these and other organizations seem to be continuing Weishaupt's Illuminati dream and plan for a New World Order (NWO).    They are the brains behind the events that are leading to the One World Government, Economy, and Religion.

"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." (Dan. 12:4)

"And he deceived them that dwell on the Earth ... saying to them that dwell on the Earth, that they should make an image to the Beast…And he had power to give life unto the image of the Beast, that the image of the Beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the Beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both smalland great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their forehead: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the Beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Rev. 13:14-18)

The number of the Antichrist is number is Six hundred threescore and six or 666. Computer, satellite, microchip, and internet technologies to fulfill the prophecy of Revelation 13:15-17 have only recently become feasible. This Mark of the Beast technology coupled with Bible numerics that verify the use of them as Antichrist tools are a very convincing evidence of the fulfillment of end time Bible Prophecy.   

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Tim. 3:1-5)

What better words than those here in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 could describe our times? Perilous times due to the wickedness of men has never been greater, except perhaps for the days of Noah just before the Flood (Gen. 6:5, 11-13; Luke 17:26-27; Matt. 24:37-39).

The obsession of this generation for pleasure without any concern for others. Foul and filthy language that we must put up with constantly every day.

The hatred God and His of truth. Hypocritical accusations of perceived hatred of those who love truth and righteousness. Religions with only a form of godliness, which deny that God saves through His grace when we turn to Him in repentance and faith.

Terrorism, gang violence, road rage, etc. has never been higher. Soaring crime rates.

The breakdown of the family and incidences of domestic violence. Homosexuality is now considered by many as a normal lifestyle. Incest, sodomy, pornography and other forms of sexual perversion are out of control. Unfaithfulness is ramped in the home, in the church, in the work place, in government, in every realm. Escapism through entertainment, drugs and alcohol.
