"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

First off it should be noted that 1 John 5:7 is missing from virtually every modern version of the Bible or has notes questioning its authenticity, but it is found in the King James Bible.

If you cared to count the letters and words in the above verse you would discover that there are 88 letters and 22 words.

This is very interesting, because in the first verse of the King James Bible (Gen. 1:1) there are 10 words and 44 letters, and in the very last verse of the King James Bible (Rev. 22:21) there are 12 words and 44 letters.

The significance of the first and last verses of the Word of God having the same number of letters (88) and words (22) as 1 John 5:7 does seems to be three fold:

1. It is a conformation from God that 1 John 5:7 should be in the Bible.

2. The Heavenly witness is confirming the whole Word of God, from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

3. It shows that the King James Bible is God's Word for the English speaking peoples and the modern versions have been corrupted.

It is interesting that just two verses up from the last verse of the Word of God it says, "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book" (Rev. 22:19; cf. Deut. 4:2, 12:31-32). It would behoove translators who translate from corrupted manuscripts to repent of their evil deeds!

English Gematria is one evidence as to the authority of the King James Bible! Gematria is a system for calculating the numerical values of letters, words, and phrases with numerical values of letters of alphabets. Ancient languages use the letters of their alphabets for numbers also. The languages used to originally write the Bible, Hebrew and Greek, are good examples:

For example, if we use the above Koine Greek formula to add up Christ's name, JESUS, we get the sum of 888. In the Bible 8 is the number of new beginnings. We see this when we look at the facts that 1) when God destroyed the world with a flood because of man's wickedness, 8 people were saved, Noah, his 3 sons and their wives (1 Pet. 3:20); 2) "the feast of tabernacles" looks forward to the Millennial Reign of Christ, the 7th 1000 year day (2 Pet. 3:8), and the 8th day of the feast signifies the New Heavens and the New Earth (Lev. 23:34-36; 2 Pet. 3:10-13; Rev 21:1-5); 3) baby boys were circumcised of the 8th day (Gen 17:12; Lev 12:3) which was a picture of being "born again" or "regeneration" (Deut. 30:6; Ezek. 36:26-27; Col. 2:11; Rom. 2:29; John 3;3-7; 5 Titus 3:5). Other examples could be given, but let these suffice to prove that numbers in Scripture have important significance. Observe the number of JESUS' name from the Greek of the New Testament:

Now lets turn our attention to the English and the Book of Revelation. By increasing the value of the letters of the English alphabet by 6 for each letter (A=6, B=12, C=18, and so on), we come up with an end time Gematria similar to that of the first civilization of the world in the area that today we call Iraq.

Now look at what the Apostle John wrote in Revelation 13:15-18:

"And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Please notice that the last verse of Revelation 13 does not say to try to find the name of the Antichrist Beast, but to "count the number of the beast." Just as the number of the beast is 666 so likewise the number of all mankind is 666, because PEOPLE SIN.

"GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Gen. 6:5) "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." (Jer. 17:9-10) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood ..." (Rom. 3:23-25)

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour." (Titus 3:5-6) "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus ..." (2 Tim. 1:9)
